This is us waiting in line for a tour of the Capitol. Our tour guide, Kyle (one of Mary Fallin's interns) showed us a much shorter line to wait in. It was the line outside. The line inside was LONG. He said that he had NEVER seen it that long. He called a buddy of his and asked how long the line was outside, and had him run over and save us a place in line while we walked over there.
This is Emily fulfilling a long held dream. She got to see the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill Of Rights. The light in the room was very dim, we were cautioned if we took any flash photography, it would be the last picture we took, (Hmmm, not sure if they meant there, or ever, LOL). We were irritated at the number of people that ignored that rule. The flash damages very old paper and ink. There is no way, even if you took a picture of the Declaration Of Independence that it would show up in a picture anyway. It is very faded.

I deleted my comment. Seeing the Declaration of Independence is anything but a quiet day!! Too bad you couldn't make a citizen's arrest on the tourists breaking the photography rules. Shame on them!
There are some perks in being from Tecumseh, huh?
Ooo look at you!!! Mary Fallin's intern, eh... Fancy schmancy!
I am so glad that that he saved your place in line. It looks like soooo much fun! The kiddos look pooped!!
